OUR APPROACH

The Barcelona Tennis Experience is an exclusive six day camp designed only for a small group of six players. Because we want our players to get the best of it, we exclusively handpick the players from all interested participants.  It is crucial that they share the same level of passion, enthusiasm and commitment to embrace this intensive camp.

Our programs are very personalized so we create a unique experience for the group that will be part of every trip. Prior to the arrival we consult with the group the main concerns and objectives, and create a work plan that adapts to our training methodology. The daily sessions can be adjusted to the group’s requirements by unanimous decision from all the different subjects we can teach during the camp.

TRAINING / WINE AND CAVA TOUR

The first day we will train at the centenary Club with views to the historic Monserrat Mountains. Our first day at the courts coaches will do the personal evaluations on court with every player so we can gather all the possible feedback to address from the beginning the week objectives for each one of them.

After a nice outdoor lunch at the club we will head for a unique tour of the famous Baix Penedes Region. We will first take you to the core of cava-making, D.O. Penedès. Beautifully crafted sparkling wines and local food await in Ca n’Estella cava winery to captivate your senses while you learn about the region and the fascinating history of the family who runs the cellar. A beautiful 18th century masia (the traditional Catalan country house) presides the estate of this small winery, where they are indeed proud to be small.

TRAINING / SAGRADA FAMILIA / PARK GUELL / CASA BATLLO / ROOFTOP DINNER

After our intense morning training session we will head to our touristic visits. Our first stop will be at Park Güell designed by iconic architect Gaudi. From the forest of languid stone columns, to the famous Serpent Bench which winds along the perimeter, this Modernist masterpiece is basically a Gaudí theme park. Our next stop will be the historic La Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Antoni Gaudi’s magnum opus. It is undoubtedly the most iconic structure in Barcelona (and the most popular, with nearly 3 million visitors per year). Construction has been ongoing for more than 135 years, and the surreal structure, with its rainbow-hued stained glass windows, is slated for completion in 2026. Even in its unfinished state, it remains an absolute must-see for every visitor to the Catalan capital. From there we will head explore Casa Batlló, With a wavy animalistic facade and brilliant colors, and thought-provoking whimsical features everywhere this another Antoni Gaudi’s architectural masterpiece.

FULL DAY TRIP TO COSTA BRAVA (GIRONA)

The idea of this off day is to recoup from the first few days of training. We will spend a full day in one of the most beautiful stretches in all Europe- the Costa Brava. From stunning sights of rocky cliffs, mysterious coves, historic sites and golden beaches we will have an exciting touristic day.

Early in the morning we will head to the emblematic village of Tossa de Mar, considered “the pearl of Costa Brava” because in this small area we can find all those landscape and historic elements which have given it such well-deserved fame. Its spectacular sceneries, from its shores, beaches, caves in the cliffs to its lush vegetation, turn it into one of the locations that has better preserved its natural environment in perfect harmony with the tourism industry. Before heading to our second destination we will have a true traditional Mediterranean lunch enjoying the amazing views of the coast.

After refueling we will head to the beautiful and historic medieval village of Rupit; where you can wander along the picturesque cobblestone streets and admire charming houses that date back to the 16th century. Lastly, after walking all day we will indulge on a traditional Catalan meal before we head back to the residence.

Labeled as one of the top food markets in the world, La Boqueria is not exactly an off the beaten path food destination in Barcelona. We will enjoy the variety of true Spanish food.

Our next stop will be the iconic Barri Gotic. This picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night.

We will end the night at the beautiful Plaça Espanya. Beyond the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum.
